The Fam was founded by Mandima Qunta, a South African social entrepreneur, dedicated to building and maintaining safe-space communities that achieve economic inclusivity for marginalised South Africans. Born into a long line of entrepreneurial matriarchs, Mandima continues-on with the family legacy, adding over a decade of production and project management to her arsenal, with the help of brands like Johnnie Walker, BMW, and Boiler Room.
As the founder and managing director of The Fam, Mandima brings her passion for social impact to the forefront developing and nurturing diverse cultural platforms that redefine queer nightlife for South Africa’s queer bodies.
